"Masters of the Universe": First look at Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man

The first official image of the remake of "Masters of the Universe" is here: Nicholas Galitzine shows his muscles as He-Man.
After the first set photos were recently leaked, Amazon MGM Studios has now released the first official picture of Nicholas Galitzine (30) as He-Man. The first look at the new "Masters of the Universe" film was published by X , among others.
However, the picture does not yet reveal the complete He-Man. Instead, it focuses on the sword of power that Nicholas Galitzine is holding with both hands. But fans get an impression of the muscles that the actually rather slim "Royal Blue" actor has built up for the role.
"Several months of intensive training"Galitzine also posted the picture on his Instagram account. "After several months of intensive training, I'm happy to announce that we have now officially begun production," he commented on the post. "Our director Travis Knight has assembled an incredible ensemble and created a stunning tapestry of Eternia and the surrounding world. I can't wait for you to see it," the Brit continued.
The result of Galitzine's hard training was already visible. The gossip account Deuxmoi published snapshots from the set on Instagram a few days ago. However, the mountains of muscles were still hidden under a loose pink shirt.

The revealed scenes do not take place on the planet Eternia, but on Earth. He-Man, who appears in civilian clothes, is detained by the police and his sword is confiscated.
Remembering a Failed Film with Dolph LundgrenThese impressions make many "Masters of the Universe" fans skeptical. They are reminded of the 1987 film adaptation with Dolph Lundgren (67). It is set mostly not in the familiar universe of He-Man, but on Earth and introduces new characters. Due to this freedom from the source material and the trashy style, the first cinema adaptation is considered a failure.
The remake by "Bumblebee" director Travis Knight (51) is also set on Earth. "A young man on Earth discovers a fabulous, secret heritage as the prince of an alien planet and must find a magical sword and return home to protect his kingdom," says the official synopsis.
Story and Stars of "Masters of the Universe"In another plot summary, the story sounds different: "In the far reaches of space, the kingdom of Eternia is threatened by the villain Skeletor and his evil armies of darkness. To save his father's kingdom and protect the lives of those he holds dear, young Prince Adam must find a mythical sword and become the legendary warrior known only as 'He-Man.'"
The remake features characters that fans of the franchise have known for over 40 years. Jared Leto (53) plays He-Man's eternal adversary Skeletor, Alison Brie (42) his assistant Evil-Lyn. "Riverdale" star Camila Mendes (30) supports He-Man as Teela.
He-Man and Co. first appeared in toy stores in 1982 as action figures from Mattel. Between 1983 and 1984, the animated series "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" made the heroes even more famous. This was the first time that Prince Adam was mentioned as He-Man's alter ego.
The toy series was discontinued in 1988. However, new editions began to appear on the market in 2000. In 2021, two new animated series from the world of "Masters of the Universe" started on Netflix. A remake has been planned for decades, but various attempts have repeatedly failed.
